October 20 - A good of Mallards remain in South Dakota. Weather remains mild. Other ducks in good numbers are widgeon and gadwall. Goose numbers are moderate. Specks are locally common.

October 13 - Mallards! With no weather to really move big ducks in, numbers seem to be increasing regardless. Mallards and pintails are already putting on their winter colors. A few pretty large feeds were observed. Goose numbers are moderate. First flocks of specks are moving through.

October 6 - Duck numbers are stable. There are many huntable birds around but we haven't seen much in terms of migration. Goose numbers are good.
